Zenit head coach Alexei Verbov released the usual combination of players on the court, but Lokomotiv suddenly had a Bulgarian player Denis Karyagin at the start, who recently joined the team.

He made an ace at Karyagin and knocked the Bulgarian out of the reception several times, forcing him to attack on a triple block, which was not pierced – 8:5. Kazan held the catch, and with it the advantage. Instead of Karyagin, the most experienced Sergey Savin came out at Loko. Unlike the players, the central guests in this game were unstoppable, so Konstantin Abaev gave up on them at every opportunity. But Artyom Volvich did not hit the court, after which the score was equalized – 22:22. In the end, Mikhailov showed himself vividly, who won two goals with discounts – 25:23.
In the middle of the third game, Dmitry Volkov hit out and immediately made a mistake in the reception after Lyzik's submission – 10:12. Verbov's reaction was immediate – Mikhail Labinsky appeared on the court. But I didn't get into the playground right away. Zenit's position could have been catastrophic, but Christenson miraculously got the ball in defense, which flew to the other side and turned into a point scored – 11:13.
For almost the entire game, the Kazan team caught up with the opponent and completed the chase after Ace Labinsky – 21:21. And then Volvich scored an ace, which Karyagin failed to handle – 23:22. But Lokomotiv also found a cool pitcher. Lyzik first earned a passing ball for Atanasov, and then laid the ball exactly in the corner of the court – 29:27 in favor of the guests.
Two consecutive attacks into the out by Bulgarian legionnaires Loko Atanasov and Karyagin allowed Zenit to gain a comfortable advantage by the middle of the game – 12:9.
