Zenit-Kazan beat Fakel 3-0 in a Volleyball Super League match in Novy Urengoy. Alexey Verbov's team achieved its 19th victory in the championship.

The starting segment turned out to be equal, the teams exchanged points. Kazan began to break away in the score at 12:11. On Rukavishnikov's serve, the Kazan team made the result on the scoreboard at 15:11, twice covering the opponent with a block. Then the score increased to 20:13, but the hosts unexpectedly added and almost won back the advantage of the guests. However, the volleyball players of the "Torch" did not have enough strength for long. As a result, 25:21, and Rukavishnikov scored the decisive point, independently throwing the ball to the opponent's side.
At the very beginning of the second game, Zenit broke away by three points. This gap, plus or minus, held until the very end of the set – 20:18 after the parachute attack from Surmachevsky. However, the hosts were able to recoup and equalize the score. At 21:21, Verbov even took a timeout to bring his team to its senses. After that, the Kazan team did not miss their chance, and Ace Kletz put an end to the game – 25:22.
Another parachute from Surmachevsky helped the guests to get into a mini-gap in the third game – 5:3. Fakel periodically compared the score, but the initiative still remained with the Kazan team. In the middle of the set, two consecutive Romanovsky aces helped Zenit to record a new lead at +5 – 16:11. By the end, the advantage of the guests increased to 6 points, after which the Novourengoy team again, as in the first two games, began to catch up – 19:18. Despite such a sharp jerk of the hosts, Zenit were able to bring the matter to victory. The point in the match was set by the error of the "Fakel" on serve – 25:22 in the set and 3:0 in the match.
