Big Ten Freshman of the Year Amanda Zahui B. broke the Gopher single-season blocks record on Feb. 9 against Illinois, surpassing former Gopher great Janel McCarville.
Zahui B. blew past McCarville's record of 65 blocks during her rookie campaign, finishing the year with 105 blocks. Zahui already ranks fifth on the Gophers' all-time blocks list and will next set her sights on McCarville's career record of 196 blocks.
