In the Jan. 22 home game against Wisconsin, the Gophers overcame early adversity to dominate the rival Badgers in front of a frenzied Williams Arena crowd. One moment, however, nearly blew the roof off the 86-year old building.
The Gophers were up by double-digits with six minutes to go in the game, but Hollins punctuated the advantage leaping for a one-handed dunk over Wisconsin's Nigel Hayes, who fouled Hollins but could not stop the slam. Hollins converted the and-one, and went on to win 81-68.
