In the opening set, the hosts led 11:9, but lost the advantage on Oleg Antonov's serves. Denis Litvinov equalized the score. Mikhail Nikkel's attacks into the out and block gave the guests a head start – 12:14. Arshdeep Dosange ace strengthened the team's faith in winning the first game – 18:14. And Mikhail Shcherbakov closed Alexander Militsky with a block – 19:14. Gleb Radchenko and Nikita Aksyutin, who had just recovered from an illness, appeared on the site of Nizhnevartovsk. The diagonal Ugra-Samotlor managed to score twice in the final games, but Nova confidently held the advantage.
The beginning of the second set was encouraging for the local audience. Radchenko served powerfully twice and scored twice from the first zone – 3:0. Stanislav Kassel stopped Litvinov with a block, Sergey Bagrey – Oleg Antonov, and Mikhail Kulygin scored an ace – 8:3. Attempts by rivals to win back did not bring success. In the end, Ugra-Samotlor led 22:15, but suddenly stalled in one alignment. During Shcherbakov's innings, Nova began to approach by leaps and bounds. The advantage of Nizhnevartovsk residents was reduced to "minus three". Radchenko's shot into the out made the audience even more nervous – 23:21. After the timeout, the diagonal of the hosts did not leave the guests a chance. Antonov drew the line under the game by serving into the net.
In the third set, Nova immediately gained a slight advantage – 4:2. The teams switched to an exchange of blows. Two consecutive unsuccessful pipes by Militsky allowed the guests to increase the gap – 12:8. And all the questions were removed by the exit to the submission of Vladimir Rentschikov. Shcherbakov and Maxim Shpilev scored on the block, and Radchenko and Nikkel, who replaced Aksyutin in the final game, made a mistake in the attack – 23:15. Dosange put the point in the ace game.
In the fourth set, the initiative again passed to Ugra-Samotlor. Radchenko single–handedly stopped Shpilev's attack – 6:4, and soon after the excellent defense of Herman Mellis, he completed the game - 11:8. Nova won back on Antonov's serves – 19:19. Shcherbakov, blocking Radchenko, brought his team forward. The hosts regained the lead after attacking Litvinov's net at 23:22. Oleg Sogrin's timeout did not work. After another difficult submission by Kassel, the hosts received a counterattack, which was successfully completed by Militsky – 24:22. Nova played both set balls. Litvinov did not fail in the attack, and Antonov tightly closed Radchenko's blow. At the most crucial moment, Pyaskovsky released a diagonal Nikkel instead of a connecting hook, and seemed to be looking into the water.
Nikkel brought the winning point by blocking Antonov's attack.
In the fifth game, the guests, taking advantage of the inaccuracies of Nizhnevartovsk, quickly turned 3:3 into 8:4. Litvinov's mistake in the attack gave the hosts hope – 8:6, but the diagonal quickly corrected itself, completing a protracted draw – 10:6. Antonov scored two break goals, and scored Nova's fifth consecutive victory in the Shpilyov championship.
Radchenko became the top scorer of the match. He brought Ugra-Samotlor 26 points. Litvinov scored twenty-three from the guests.
