With Minnesota tied 1-1 against Penn State late in the third period on March 1, senior Tom Serratore found a loose puck in front of the Nittany Lions goal, spun and fired a no-look shot into the net for the eventual game winner in a 2-1 Gophers victory on Senior Night.

The goal sent Serratore and the rest of the senior class out with a win in their final game at Mariucci Arena while the Gophers went 15-1-3 at their home rink last year – the fewest losses at the venue in its 20-year history.
