The Novourengoy Fakel continues to experience personnel problems and, as a result, difficulties in matches with the leaders of the standings. In the match of the 11th round of the PARI Super League, Yamal residents lost to Belogorie Belgorod in three sets on their site.
Libero Santiago Danani was back in the infirmary – he still has not recovered from the cold that covered him before the match of the 9th round. But the Belgorod team returned to the Moroccan diagonal Mohamed Al Khachdadi, who also missed the previous tour due to illness.
The match began with reconnaissance: both teams used the entire arsenal of attacks from the edges of the net, but Belogorie did it a little better - a block on Enns brought the lions a break advantage – 8:6. Al Khachdadi and Zhang gave out a bright segment at the equator of the game, and their own mistakes prevented the Polar explorers from imposing a fight – 16:12 in favor of Belogorie. The attacks of Enns and ace performed by Morozov, who came on as a substitute, slightly reduced the gap of the Fakel, but the Moroccan diagonal guest took over the ending, and his attacks brought Belgorod victory in the game – 25:20.
The second batch
The fight in the second set turned out to be more stubborn. At FAKEL, Vasily Kapranov came out to finish the game instead of Vadim Yutsevich. The composition of Belogorie has not changed.
At the start of the set, the Yamal team scored points through the efforts of Enns in attack, while Poroshin used all his attackers from Belgorod, both from the edges and in the center of the net, and two consecutive attacks by Tsepkov brought the guests ahead – 10:8. When Dinakin and Kapranov joined the Yamal team in the attack, an equal struggle began again on the court, which lasted until the very end. The outcome of the set was decided by the nerves that turned out to be stronger for the Lions - Grankin made a mistake on serve, and Tetyukhin put the winning point in the game – 25:23.
The third batch
Vadim Yutsevich returned to the starting line-up for the third set at FAKEL, and Sergey Chervyakov came out to block Yuri Tsepkov instead of Belogorie. After an equal start to the set, a series of own mistakes by the FAKEL players helped the Belogorsky squad to take the lead – 16:14. On Masliev's serves, the lions made a breakthrough, coming to the end with a confident advantage – 21:15, which they no longer gave away – 25:19.
Diagonal Korney Enns became the best statistician in the TORCH team – he has 12 points, including 1 block. Stanislav Dinakin has 10 points on his account.
In 2023, Yamal residents are expected to play two more matches, both on the road – on December 20, FAKEL will travel to Sosnovy Bor, where it will play with Dynamo-LO, and on December 27 it will meet with Shahter Soligorsk.
