Belogorie won the last match of the preliminary stage against Yenisei and became the only team that managed to pass the second round without a single defeat.
The beginning of the meeting was a swing with a decent amplitude: 0:3 – Yenisei led, Belgorod decided the balance 3:3, 8:4 was in favor of Lviv, which then transformed into 9:10. The problem for the guests was Pavel Tetyukhin's serve, the Belogorya block, softening the blows of the Krasnoyarsk attackers, and an excellent defensive game on the part of the hosts – 15:11. Ivan Podrebinkin's ace rolled back the opponents by 5 points already – 18:13, and on a wave of good mood, when almost everything turns out, Belogorye reached the finish line of the first game – 25:19.
The second batch was already without fluctuations, although the Yenisei periodically pressed Belgorod residents with a block. But even when Belogorie was losing points, there was no feeling that the Krasnoyarsk team would be able to seize the initiative. Yenisei started two sets with 1:3 in their favor, and by the middle the teams came with a score of 13:9 with Belogorie leading. The guests could not find justice for Al Khachdadi and Tetyukhin. Only Sergey Busel, the blocker, consistently scored points for Yenisei, but this was not enough to catch on to the score.
Belogorie retained the third place in the regular season, and Yenisei could not keep the eighth place in the table.
