Belogorie has become one of the most inconvenient rivals for the Belarusian champion. The Lions won all four matches of this season against Shakhtar by three points.
The opening set in Tula was a real nightmare for the miners – 25:10. Despite the repeated successful defensive actions of the guests, the score grew rapidly towards Belogorie. Khzyaeva offered a novelty to Shakhtar, starting the game with Ruslan Galimov, then changing him to Jinyin Zhang, and then releasing Galimov back to the court towards the end of the set. Belogorye coped well with the reception, was in no way inferior to the opponent in defense, but noticeably superior to him on the block and in attack. In the placement on Roman Poroshin's serve, the Belgorod team went to 14:5. Then Zhang gave out 4 aces in a row – 19:6, and Galimov finished the set pipe.
And in the second game, the lions quickly went ahead – 8:4. Due to the error of the guests, they got "+5" - 10:5, but with their own mistakes they allowed Shakhtar to catch up. Maxim Bogatko was successfully replaced. It was the second important substitution – in the first set Pavel Avdochenko was replaced diagonally by Alexander Safonov. The Soligorians began to add to the attack. The new players equalized the score – 13:13. Belogorie had to start over. Pavel Tetyukhin made the start, and Zhang and Mohamed Al Khachdadi returned the advantage – 19:15. Diagonal Belogorya finished the game with a straight serve – 25:18.
The third game turned out to be the most persistent and reached the balance. The hosts slowed down a little, the guests came to their game. Shakhtar started with 1:3, then more than once hid the attempts of the Belgorod team to go ahead, extinguishing the gap of two points, and then going ahead. The guests provided the Lions with a nervous ending. The block helped Belogorie to seize the lead – 22:21. Safonov and Bogatko kept the Soligorians equal, but Al Khachdadi's block-out and Yuri Tsepkov's attack brought matters to Belogorie's ninth consecutive victory in the national championship – 26:24.
