From the very start, Dynamo players outlined their active positions in the main elements of volleyball, with which they can beat Shakhtar: already in the first draws, the little green man Vladimir Shishkin pulled out two dead balls in defense, and Denis Biryukov captainly implemented break plays. The very aggressive serve of the hosts did not leave too many options in attack for the Soligorsk team – Fannur Kayumov successfully hunted them on the block, bringing three break points at once in this element in the first set.
Viktor Beksha tried to make a change in the game with substitutions, but the hosts confidently bent their line. Konstantin Tyushkevich took turns rehearsing pipes with all three players – Denis Schenkel, Marko Ivovich and Biryukov (sosnovobortsy still operate without diagonal ones). The serial set of points occurred on Kayumov's serve, when the gap in the score grew to 6 (20:14). Pavel Avdochenko's exit somewhat reduced the lag of the Soligorians in this game, as did Andrei Marchenko's ace, but the set remained with the hosts.
The third game could have been the most devastating – at some point it seemed that Shakhtar had given up. Dynamo scored points in each set-up, Tyushkevich and Kayumov were in the feed zone for a long time, and Biryukov brought the matter almost to the catastrophe of the guests – 14:5. Alexander Klimkin, with a calm score in favor of his team, sent Nikita Borchikov and two forwards, who missed many matches due to injuries, to the playground to get in shape in a combat situation. Shakhtar frowned and gathered for a decisive assault, not wanting to end the match with such unpleasant figures. A couple of blocks from David Fiel and Ivan Kozitsyn, the latter's ace and Marchenko's good attacks… But still, Pirainen and Skrimov scored their goals, signing under the winning result of the team – 25:18.
