Compared to the previous round, the coaching staff of the hosts made two substitutions in the starting lineup – from the first minutes Kobzar came out instead of Kovalev and Safonov instead of Ananyev. Peter at the very beginning managed to create not quite hospitable conditions for Ursov, who is well acquainted with the hall of the Platonov Academy: Kirill did not score the first three goals, making two mistakes, all this quickly ended with a timeout for the guests with the score 1:5. Roman Murashko did not immediately catch his rhythm either, so Kreskin tried to get out of it for a while at the expense of the first tempo, where everything was not smooth either. In the middle of the game, Peter gave his opponent the opportunity to exhale a little with a couple of mistakes on the serve, but at the same time he held the catch securely enough. A series of solid serves with an ace from Voronkov closer to the end made it possible to almost completely remove all questions – 18:10. The result of the game is 25:19 (with another ace from Voronkov on the set).
In the next game segment, the coaching staff of the guests bet on the Osipov – Fettsov diagonal, "Yenisei" took Voronkov's block on the knocked–out reception, which immediately introduced a slight intrigue into the process - 4:0 in favor of Krasnoyarsk. However, Peter returned very quickly, caught Fettsov twice on the edge of the net, and in the second case Titic did it alone – 6:6. In any case, Yenisei looked definitely more cheerful in this game and got into the game seriously. Which is generally quite logical, because in this season's configuration, the difference in class between the teams is clearly not significant.
More than once during the course of the set, the guests reached the advantage level of plus three, but each time they lost it. The most productive for Zenit were again the arrangements with Voronkov's serve, in one of them Peter took the lead for the first time – 16:15. However, Yenisei completely dismantled him in attack: only 2 out of 8 with 4 lost balls, taking into account the moment when Fedor's pipe was closed with a block at 18:18. Then the teams went into a protracted ending, where they heartily made mistakes and dispersed only at 30:28 after an error in attack… Voronkova.
On the third set, Viktor Sidelnikov put Tikhonov instead of Titich and Ananyev instead of Safonov, changed the binder along the way – Kovalev came out. And the guests got Goosebumps back. Zenit started the game as successfully as possible – 7:2. But the stability in the game of the hosts was clearly not enough and Yenisei almost completely ate up this gap quite quickly – 10:11. In the second half of the set, Voronkov's discount "under the skin" allowed Peter to withdraw from a potentially very dangerous arrangement with Murashko's serve, and then Yakovlev closed with Ursov's block – 16:13. With all the worries, Peter brought exactly this advantage of two breaks to the end of the game – 25:22, the setball was realized by Zheleznyakov.
Following the rule of alternately giving each other the joy of a successful start, the teams started the fourth game with 4:1 in favor of Yenisei. The trend was immediately developed – 7:2 after Ace Ursov. Closer to the middle of the game, Yakovlev, who had been either making mistakes or doing push-ups the whole match before, finally managed to give two serious power serves in a row and Zenit pulled up a little against the background of the opponent's knocked-out reception - 7:10. However, it was only an episode that did not seriously change the game. Very soon after the Filippov block on Ananyev, Krasnoyarsk reached plus six – 14:8, after which the party was brought to victory by the guests, not without problems, but without really significant losses – 25:22.
In the end, at some point Krasnoyarsk sailed for a long time on Kovalev's glider, but there was enough huge margin of safety.
In the tie-break, the teams exchanged breaks in the first half, and then, with the most equal game with a mandatory marriage on both sides, everything was decided by a nervous ending, where both sides had chances of success, but Zenit won. Matchball was realized by Voronkov – 17:15.
The first five-set game in the history of these teams lasted more than two and a half hours.
