In 1962, in order to stop General De Gaulle’s freeing of Algeria, O.A.S. activists prepare to spring General Challe, a partisan of French Algeria, from jail in Tulle. Replacing his boss, who has been arrested, Dominique Clavet organises a hold-up to finance the operation. But they fail to count on the tenacity of divisional commander Lelong, a pro-government loyalist.
