With a renewed lineup Russia struggled at times, but eventually provided a solid enough performance to sweep Australia in three sets at the 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League.

Luke Perry (Australia): Yesterday we were really disappointed with how we played and our attitude and mentality on the court, so today it was really important to react and respond to this. We were there in almost every set, it's just we have to be better in closing points and in some important moments."

Dmitriy Muserskiy (Russia): "Today was a really difficult match, because many players played for the first time and we were a little bit worried. In some moments our game was not so good, not good enough, therefore we had some problems. We made many mistakes and we have to think about them, but we will improve in the next games. When we were six points behind we knew that we had to win this set, because this was a challenge for our character and for our mentality. Little by little, point by point we overcame our problems."
