Australia vs Netherlands | VNL 2021 | Highlights | Oluwatobi Azeez vs Nimir Abdel-Aziz

The Netherlands ended their 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League campaign with a victory against Australia 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-19) led by Nimir Abdel-Aziz on 17 points. The Dutch end the Preliminary Round of the competition with three wins, and Australia one.

This is what the players said:

Nimir Abdel-Aziz (NED): It's always nice to finish the tournament with victory, and we did it. Today is a nice last day. It was a game like every other, it was a bit difficult, the last match, the last day of the tournament. It was a long tournament, we played 15 games, so it was not easy, but we are happy that we won. Physically I feel not so well. In the last few days I had some problems with my ankle, but now I have some time to recover.

Nehemiah Mote (AUS): I'm disappointed that we couldn't finish the tournament the way we wanted to, but I'm looking at the tournament and I'm very proud of everyone's contribution - players, staff, coaches and statistician. Everyone put in so much effort. Now we have finished the tournament with no major injuries. So we will be looking forward to resting and we will prepare for the next tournament which is the Asian Championships.
