The volleyball players of Proton and Dynamo kept the audience on the edge of their seats throughout the five sets. In the opening set, the guests tried to create a comfortable lead from the very beginning, with scores of 8:4 and 16:8. Elizaveta Lukyanova and Irina Kapustina were notable for their offensive performances. In rare moments, the Saratov team managed to respond with attacks by Natalia Seliverstova. After Yuri Marichev called for a timeout (12:20), the Saratov club began to make up for their deficit. Varvara Sergeeva and Khristina Vuchkova took the first step. However, Dynamo was the first to score a set point. There were a total of six points, and the hosts won four of them. However, a timeout cooled the hosts' ardor, and after the break, the game was won by the Moscow team.

In the second set, Proton worked on their mistakes and improved their attack performance. Anna Kotikova and Natalia Seliverstova's accurate shots and strong serves made it difficult for the Dinamo players to respond. Proton created a significant lead, leading 4-1, 16-9, and 20-13. Despite the Dinamo players' efforts to catch up, they were unable to do so. In the final set, Vuchkova's attacks and subsequent single-block defense kept the Dinamo players on their toes, resulting in a 25-17 victory.

In the third set, Proton continued to lead, and by the middle of the set, they had a two- or three-point advantage. However, Natalia Goncharova's increased involvement in the game and Angelina Lazarenko's block changed the situation. The Saratov team made several mistakes, and now they were in the role of the underdogs. The two- or three-point difference turned against Yuri Marichev's team.

In the fourth set, Proton did everything they could to get back into the game. Once again, frequent attacks through Seliverstova and Kotikova gave them a brief advantage. Dynamo came close thanks to Anastasia Manzhosova's block and Elizaveta Lukyanova's attacks. From the middle of the set until the end, it was a game of more or less. With a score of 23:24, Lukyanova earned a match point, but Proton fought back and forced the match into a tiebreaker.

In the fifth set, Vuchkova and Sergeeva successfully attacked, and Seliverstova joined them. The guests responded through Kapustina, and the Saratov team took the lead at 5:2. After the change of sides, the Moscow team took the lead at 9:9 and 14:14. Proton took risks, but Dynamo used the block in key moments of the game and won. The defeat eliminated the theoretical chances of the Saratov club to reach the playoffs. Dynamo finally secured their fifth place in the standings.
