In August 2014, Gopher Athletics hosted a group of summer school students from Kidstop, a summer program for school age children that works to provide enriching, hands-on and fun activities for children.
A group of 5th through 7th graders received a behind the scenes tour of Mariucci Arena, the home of Golden Gopher Men’s Hockey, with several Gopher student-athletes. The kids got to see the locker room, weight room, training room and even learned how ice is made!
They were then able to each lunch and ask questions about what it is like to be a Division I student-athlete.
Thank you to all the Minnesota student-athletes that generously donate their time each week to the Twin Cities community through Gopher Athletics’ MAGIC program!
