Gophers finished the second day of the B1G Outdoor Track & Field Championships with 3 Big Ten titles.
With Wieland’s second-straight win in the decathlon and Jess Lehman’s back-to-back win in the women’s heptathlon, the University of Minnesota is the first school in Big Ten history to sweep the outdoor multi-events in back-to-back years.
Nicolle Murphy won her first Big Ten title of her career with a javelin throw of 53.54m (175-08), her second-best mark of the season.
