On January 17, the seventeenth round of the PARI Super League 2024 took place at the Lokomotiv Arena. The meeting with Novaya from Novokuibyshevsk became the fourth match in a row at the home ground for the railwaymen before the away match with Zenit Kazan in the next round.


The newcomer of Lokomotiv, Bulgarian player Denis Karyagin, has so far remained out of the application for the match. The main factor in the meeting with Novaya was the uneven play on the part of the two teams – the teams took turns picking up the games. The opening set was left to the hosts with a big advantage, but after that Oleg Sogrin's team imposed a fight and brought the fight to a tie-break. Already in the fifth game, the railwaymen played cleaner and more confident – 15:10. As a result, the winning streak for Loko continued, Novosibirsk scored its thirteenth victory in a row.
