The volleyball players of Fakel won a strong-willed victory over Lokomotiv (3:2) in the decisive match of the quarterfinal series.

In the tie-break, Mikhail Vyshnikov, the binder, brought an important break point to the Torch – libero Roman Martynyuk failed to cope with his serve (7:5). Novosibirsk returned to the fight from -4, reducing the gap to a minimum (11:12), but Vitaly Dikarev made the cut, and Korney Enns and Vasily Kapranov made the exit of the "Torch" to the next round.
Fakel got into the top 4 for the first time since 2019. Then Camillo Plachi's wards lost in the semifinals to Zenit Kazan (0-2), and in the series for bronze they beat Zenit St. Petersburg (2-0).

This time, Fakel will play Zenit Kazan in the semifinals again. The first matches of the series will be held in the capital of Tatarstan on April 9 and 11.

Recall that Zenit Kazan is the current champion and winner of the regular season. Fakel took 7th place in the regular season, after which Dynamo-LO passed, winning the golden set, and now Lokomotiv.
