Honda Civic Type R - First drive

The Civic Type R has been tantalisingly dangled in front of everyones faces for a long time, and on paper its a serious proposition. 306bhp, 5.7 seconds to 60mph and of course - that massive rear wing.
Even more impressive is the record-breaking 7m 50sec Nurburgring time it set recently, which means eyebrows remain raised, especially in Renault's camp as it de-throned the rather superb Megane Trophy-R (7m54sec).
