The Golden Gophers rallied from an 11-point deficit to beat Xavier 74-62 on Wednesday night, starting a season 5-0 for the first time in 10 years. This was their first game trailing at halftime, 40-32, and they rallied to a 57-51 lead by the end of the third quarter. The Gopher defense held the Musketeers (3-1) to 22 points and forced 12 turnovers in the second half.
