Gopher softball traveled to UNLV for its third straight year to participate in the Easton Desert Classic. The team posted a 3-1 record defeating UNLV 6-0, BYU 13-6 and Boise State 11-2 (5) to improve to 8-0 before falling to #1/2 Florida.

The 8-0 start was the first one since 2003 and the third in program history.
