With the muscle of the world's largest car-maker behind it, the Volkswagen ID3 could be the biggest thing to happen to the electric car yet. Based on an all-new model platform dedicated to electric cars, the ID3 will be available with a choice of three battery packs, the largest of which should give it range of almost 350 miles. It won't be on sale in the UK until spring 2020, but Matt Saunders went to VW's headquarters in Wolfsburg to drive a prototype. Subscribe now:
