Here are the first images of the 2016 Opel Astra, which has to be revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show (2015 IAA) in September this year but that leaked erarly this morning on an Italian website.
The new Astra K is based on the D2 platform, and is smaller than the Astra J. The 2016 Opel Astra K (or Vauxhall Astra in some markets) is 49 mm shorter length, 26 mm lower and 23 mm shorter in wheelbase over its predecessor. It will be lighter about 120 kg than the outgoing model.
The 2016 Astra will be the first new Opel model to get the OnStar connected service which can be used 24 hours a day.
