Ferrari introduces in 2016 the all new Ferrari GTC4 Ferrari Lusso, the new model with four seats and for the first time integrated rear steering wheel with four-wheel drive which take a further step forward in the concept of Gran Turismo sports car.
The car's name recalls illustrious predecessors like the 330 GTC, or his version 2+2 so dear to Enzo Ferrari, and the 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso, that mixed elegance and refinement of materials to extreme performance. The number 4 refers instead to the four comfortable seats of the passenger compartment.
With its 690 hp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm the 12-cylinder engine offers ever increasing delivery. The power to weight ratio is a record for the category with 2.6 kg / hp as well as that of the 13.5: 1 compression. The maximum torque is 697 Nm at 5750 r / min with 80% of torque available at 1,750 rpm.
The wide accessibility of GTC4Lusso on all types of road and traction is guaranteed by the evolution of system-wheel drive 4WD Ages, patent Ferrari, for the first time also integrated with the rear steering wheels. Thus was born the 4WD-S control system (four-wheel drive and steering), patented by Ferrari, which, based on the evolution of Side Slip Control, also patented and now in
version 4.0, now also includes the control of the electronic differential (E-Diff) and damping of the suspension (SCM-E). All these systems, as well integrated and operated by proprietary software, allow to those in the GTC4Lusso steering wheel to be able to take advantage of the extraordinary couple also on snowy, wet or with low adhesion for a constant stability with an increased sense of control and security which results in higher performance.
The suspensions SCM-E the latest generation of damping help to maximize performance even on uneven road surfaces for optimum comfort. They GTC4Lusso contribute to the high performance of a series of aerodynamic solutions that guarantee a substantial reduction of Cx resistance compared to FF. These include the new grille, which incorporates the air intakes to improve the efficiency of the cores, the side air vent with a louvre with three fins, the reason calling on the fender of the 330 GTC, the rear spoiler integrated into the rear window and the new rear diffuser.
Designed by Ferrari Design, the GTC4Lusso exalts the theme of the shooting brake reinterpreting coupe with an extremely slender and tapered volume that comes closest to a kind fastback silhouette.
The GTC4Lusso will have its world premiere at the International Motor Show in Geneva in March.
