The big Volvo estate is back. The Volvo V90 is the second car in Volvo's resurgence and it's the first time in decades, Volvo says, that it has had a car capable of taking on and beating the Audi A6, BMW 5-Series and Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The V90 follows the hugely likeable XC90 of last year and is built on the same chassis architecture. It also uses the same powertrains, and here we test the V90 in 2.0-litre D5 diesel form, with 232bhp and all-wheel drive.
