France bounced back from their defeat of the previous night against the Netherlands, taking down USA in four sets to stay alive in the race for the semifinals of the 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League.

Here's the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone:

Thomas Jaeschke (USA): "When you play against France you know you are playing against a good team especially in defence. We did a good job not getting frustrated and continuing to play. The third set could have gone either way - we had our chances, they had theirs, but in the end they won this set and I think it was a kind of turning point of the match. Then we were down kind of immediately in the fourth and we couldn't find our way back, so credit to them."

Benjamin Toniutti (France): "We are happy about this victory, because yesterday we lost 3-2 even if we were leading 2-0, so it's good that we came back today and gained the victory. I think that today we served well, even if they also passed well. We didn't make so many mistakes like we did yesterday, so it was important. I think that our service was a really good thing in our game, also defence, but we have to be better in counter-attack to be more effective. Tomorrow we have the last game of this week against Italy and I hope we will win this game."
