"Hearts, Guts, Balls -- All In." That was the credo longtime Minnesota Baseball pitching coach Todd Oakes instilled in his players. During his four-year public battle with leukemia, Oakes raised over $125,000 for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Minnesota and inspired countless people in the baseball community and around the state of Minnesota. Special thanks to the Oakes family, Glen Perkins and the Gopher Baseball team for their participation in helping tell this story.
Oakes passed away May 26, 2016 at age 55.
