“I never thought I’d recreate the monster that killed.” Hands Of The Martyr vocalist Ty Clemans emotes in their debut, self titled album. Starting in 2011 as High School friends with a common love for music and God, Hands Of The Martyr is a four-piece Christian Metalcore band based out of Salt Lake City, Utah bringing a fresh sound to rapidly growing industry. The band recently traveled across the country to record a full-length record with Jim Fogarty (Killswitch Engage, The Devil Wears Prada, A Day To Remember) and Joe Cocchi (from Within the Ruins) at Zing Studios in Westfield, Massachusetts.

We found faith, we found love, we found it all and we promised ourselves we'd never fall. Scorned and wayward, they came before us to lead the way to discontent.

For so long we rescued the pieces of all the puzzles that fell apart. We say "never for the pleasure..." Learned ways of the world flood society.

Lead my mind!

Lead my mind to a containment so it redefines the light inside. Lead my mind to a containment that is petrified to go the way of pride. It's all wrong for me to be wallowing in pain after all the long hard days of finding who I am. Through all the days of May, and feeling I'm complete, I never thought I'd recreate the monster that I killed.

Why strive
for sorrow?
Sometimes we fall with conviction still in our voice.

we have it made, but forever is a choice.
