We head back to the NCAA tournament for No. 6 on our Top Plays Countdown as All-American and Hobey Baker Award finalist Adam Wilcox makes his debut on the countdown.

After opening the national tournament with a 7-3 win over Robert Morris, Minnesota took on in-state rival St. Cloud State in the West Regional final at Xcel Energy Center. The Big Ten Player and Goaltender of the Year stopped all 24 shots he faced to lead the Gophers to a 4-0 win over the Huskies while Justin Kloos scored twice and Seth Ambroz and Kyle Rau each added a goal of their own.

Wilcox’s fourth shutout of the year captured the NCAA West Regional title for the Maroon & Gold and sent the program on to the Frozen Four for the second time in three years.
