Russia struggled to bring down Italy in five sets on Tuesday night and remain in the race for the Final Four of the 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League.

Francesco Recine (Italy): "It was an amazing match. Russia are a strong team - they will go with this squad to the Olympics - so we are happy that we could play against so strong a team and that we played really well. We improved our game, so we are happy. They have very good block and service, so we didn't have perfect reception and it was hard for us to play. Tomorrow we want to play like today - with a smile and improve our game further."

Egor Kliuka (Russia): "I would like to congratulate Italy, because they have good, young and talented team and they played very well today. We made a lot of mistakes in reception and in general we played very bad - I don't why, it's rather a question to our coach. I think that we played five sets because we committed too many unforced errors, especially in reception."
