Adam Wilcox picked up his fourth shutout of the year in standout fashion at Mariucci Arena on Saturday night as the Gopher Hockey program completed a weekend sweep of No. 12 Michigan with a 2-0 win to tie the Wolverines for first in the Big Ten standings.
Minnesota (16-9-3 overall, 6-2-3-0 Big Ten) kept the nation’s top offense off the scoreboard in the series finale behind the All-American goalie’s 26 saves including a barrage of Wolverine shots late in the third period. The junior now has 11 career shutouts at the University of Minnesota – second most in program history and two behind Kellen Briggs’ school record.
