Ford Ranger Raptor review | Driving Ford's performance pickup | Autocar

The Ford Ranger is already one of our favourite pickup trucks, so imagine how much we'll like it if Ford Performance gets involved and turns it into the Ford Ranger Raptor.
Well, that's what we've got. There's a new twin-turbo 2.0-litre diesel engine powering it but that's not the main event. What makes this Ranger a Raptor is the adoption of Fox racing shocks and coilovers front and rear, rather than leaf springs at the back.
The whole chassis has been beefed up, with the whole back end basically redesigned to turn a worksite vehicle into one that's happy bashing, Baja style, across dunes, rough rocks, and dirt.
At a price, that is, of nearly £50,000 in the UK.
