In light of the absence of the injured Dynamo-LO captain Denis Biryukov on the court, the confrontation between the two best players of the Serbian national team in recent years: Marko Ivovic and Uros Kovacevich, as well as the first visit to Sosnovy Bor as a guest of Artem Melnikov, a native of the city and a graduate of the Dynamo club, who is adored by local fans, came to the fore. Melnikov joined the starting line–up and drank a lot of blood from the attacking atomic guys, and Kovacevich won the Serbian duel with a clear advantage - 17 points against 9.
Dynamo continued to be in a fever on serve and in attack: already in the first half of the first set, Nazar Litvinenko went to the reserve square, giving way to Sergei Pirainen, and the number of errors exceeded reasonable limits. Ural took advantage of the situation and earned an advantage with Melnikov's block and ace (9:5). The hosts managed to set up a takedown with the help of Denis Shenkel and miracles in defense against Vladimir Shishkin, but it did not work out to win back the opponent's advantage: Roman Potalyuk confidently acted at the end of the game.
After a short period of equal play at the start of the second set on Schenkel's serve, the Sosnovobortsy earned a seemingly comfortable advantage: two blocks by Dmitry Kolenkovsky, an error by Roman Potalyuk and a scored break ball by Ivovich (14:10). All the hard–earned money went away in the same way in the same arrangement on the serve of Milad Ebadipura and after replacing Andrei Ushkov with Alexander Butko - Kovacevich tirelessly scored the most difficult balls in attack with the usual stony expression on his face. Soon Potalyuk brought Ural forward, but his next attack was stopped by Kolenkovsky (19:19). Ufa responded with a block to Pirainen, after which Litvinenko returned to the court, but it was not possible to save this game, although Dovgan with a block of Ebadipour once again brought Dynamo-LO forward. In an equal ending, the pine wrestlers again failed to withdraw from Ebadipour's innings – three times in a row – 22:25.
In the third game, Dynamo created a gap and again on Schenkel's serves (8:4 – Artyom Dovgan worked on the block, and Kolenkovsky's single block earned Melnikov another extra break (10:5). But, as it turned out more than once in this meeting, even such an advantage was not enough: Kovacevich again dragged Ural close to his opponent. Litvinenko's attacks and Kolenkovsky's block "averted trouble" and gave hope to the fans for the fourth set (17:13). Igor Shulepov found the joker for this match – Evgeny Rybakov appeared on the pitch. Ivovic made two mistakes in attack, and in subsequent draws Kovacevich was accurate (20:20). In an equal ending, two video reviews confirmed the touch of the net for Dynamo – 25:27 and 0:3.
