The No. 2 University of Minnesota volleyball team defeated No. 17 Ohio State on Saturday night 25-16, 25-18, 18-25, 25-22, to improve to 10-1 on the season and 2-0 in the Big Ten.
As a team, the Golden Gophers hit .230 to Ohio State's .162, and out-blocked the Buckeyes 8.5 to 5. Minnesota also held a 62-59 dig advantage. Sarah Wilhite led the team with 15 kills as she hit .316, Alexis Hart followed with nine, with Molly Lohman establishing seven kills and hit. 500. Dalianliz Rosado, Wilhite and Samantha Seliger-Swenson all had 11 digs, with Sophie Beckley and Katie Schau earning eight. Seliger-Swenson also had 35 assists and two kills.
